Thank you for your interest in registering with Hawkwell Athletic Football Club. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the club. HAFC is an FA England Accredited Football Club that was established in 1974, we are a not-for-profit organisation and we believe in the concept of ‘football for all’ and although it’s not always possible, we always try to accommodate every budding football player regardless of ability. Currently we have 32 mini and junior teams U7 – U18 (girls and mixed teams) and two senior teams. We have a Wildcats Centre for Girls Football (5-11 years), we operate a Saturday Soccer School for 3-6 Year olds, as well as walking football for the over 50’s and Ladies walking football sessions. We owe a debt of gratitude to the 70-80 volunteer FA qualified Coaches, Managers and Management Committee, who collectively give-up many, many hours of their leisure time to make it all possible and help to ensure we can provide footballing opportunities to in excess of 500 players in a safe and positive environment.

Each season, competing in a league under FA regulations, all teams need to be affiliated and all players need to be registered and pay a registration fee. With the exception of any fundraising, and a small profit from the Apex Tea-Shop, our only source of income is the individual player registration fee, and this fee covers the league and the FA affiliation costs, it pays for the maintenance of our superb changing and welfare facilities, maintenance of the carpark, Home football kits, match balls, pitch maintenance/hire, groundsmen equipment, nets, insurances, presentation day & trophies, training courses and associated checks and certification as well as several other central overheads. Additionally, it should be explained that each team is then responsible for collecting and managing their own ‘subs’ to pay for Referee fees, the team’s training equipment and balls, plus an Away Kit, if they choose. Many teams can gain some sponsorship to contribute to these costs and anybody who can assist with this should discuss with their team manager.

The Club’s Management Committee are fully committed to ensuring the registration fee is kept as low as possible, whilst at the same time ensuring the club is financially stable, safe, and compliant.

The fee for the coming season will be £85 for the Adult Players.
